High School Qualifying Exam

The state of Alaska requires that all students pass a high school
qualifying exam in order to graduate from high school. Students take
this test for the first time as sophomores, and if they do not score
proficient or advanced, they are given the opportunity to retake the
exam during their junior and senior years. For the 2004-2005 school
year, the following number of students scored proficient/advanced—in
other words, they “passed”--on the test:
