Participation in Extra-Curricular Activities

Research indicates that student participation in extra-curricular
activities, including athletics, increases student graduation rate and
lessens dropout rates. For JDHS, the following statistics indicate
level of participation by ethnicity. Many
students participate in both athletics and activities, thus the total
number of students provided does not count a single student’s
participation twice.
